Texas Roadhouse - Hickory: Authentic Steaks & Ribs with Warm Southern Hospitality

Amazing food! Great staff, busy atmosphere. Long wait time - over an hour for our large group. The food was worth the wait!

I took My service dog there and was going to celebrate cuz we just moved out of boymont motel in hickory NC. Which I wouldn't recommend to anyone. But we were greeted by Superman and two other character's. My services dog loved it. So did I. Most of the service was great, but you know you always have one bad Apple in the bunch. We weren't going to let that spoil our evening. So all and all it was GREAT

Food: Ordered two steak dinners and neither was good. They were just okay. First was under cooked. Second was very fatty. Note. The steak in the showcase is nothing like what is on your plate. Service: she was exceptionally pleasant and warm. Checked in quite often for being peak dinner time. Atmosphere: it was busy and loud which led me to believe the steaks were going to be great. A major led down. Parking: meh but I chalk it up to being busy. Conclusion: I will eventually give them another shot but it may be some time. My reasoning for 4 star. Rest of the food was rather good and tasty.

Our family has gathered here several years during the holidays. We have consistently received great service along with a quality, tasty meal priced reasonably. At our recent visit Dominique was exceptional and took very good care of our group. Drinks were full, bread was available, she checked on us, and had a smile. The bar area has a table right below an AC vent which made the kiddos a little uncomfortable, hence only 4 stars for atmosphere. Thanks for another great experience!

We stopped by Texas Roadhouse a little after 11am and were seated right away (they weren’t very busy yet). Our food came out quickly and everything was delicious! The side salads were a great size and the ranch dressing was tasty. We ordered ribs and a steak — both were excellent! The half rack of ribs seemed more like a full rack and were truly fall-off-the-bone tender. The loaded mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful, and the steak was cooked exactly as requested with a perfectly seasoned baked potato on the side. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that the plate for the rolls, while clearly washed, still had some stuck-on food from the dishwasher. Otherwise, a great experience and a satisfying meal

You can pick you own steak to cook! Our waitress Miranda was wonderful. She was very attentive,laughed at my goofy jokes. All and all great waitress that made us feel welcome and at home. I picked a beautiful ribeye steak out of the window. You see the missing spot. Ordered it Medium Rare which was cooked to perfection. Thanks Lucas! ( The coo,,,echm,,,chef!) Just look at those diamond grill marks. Probably one of the best steaks ive had. I see no need to go anywhere else for a steak after eating here. We will be back. Miranda and Lucas are both a huge asset to the restaurant. Thanks guys. See you soon.

The whole staff was friendly. We were greeted by an older gentleman who said he hoped we had a great dinner. The hostes was friendly and understanding of our kids, and it was a great meal: the drinks always refilled. The Ribeyes were out of this world good.. Sauteèd mushrooms were a great decision. The gentleman stopped by again and complemented out family before we left. I think we have a new favorite steak place!
